Engineering Skill for Global Impact

Science meets whimsy as children unleash their imaginations through exciting hands on construction workshops and engineering labs. Integrating Jewish heritage with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), this 6 week course provides a life changing opportunity for children to develop creative building skills, teaches how to partner with G‑d in Creation, and fosters a desire to create global change. 

Week 1: Building Challenges - January 9
Children will learn the basics of architecture and design as they compete in a building challenge and discuss the meaning of a partnership.

Week 2: Pipe Physics  - January 16
Students will explore clouds and rain through a hands-on experiment and and fabricate a water pipe line.

Week 3: Planting - January 23
After discovering how plants and trees grow, students will create their very own terrariums.

Week 4: Sun and Moon - January 30

In a hands-on demonstration, the children will observe how the moon reflects the sun and they will make moon sand.

Week 5: Electricity - February 6
Students will explore electricity and discuss how each individual action can light up the world.

Week 6: Canvas Art  - February 13
Building on all they learned, the children will use their artistic talents to demonstrate how they can be a partner in creation.
